La Ciotat’s annual historical festival « Il Etait une Fois 1720 », Once Upon a Time 1720, has been awarded the Quality Label from the FFFSH (The French Federation for Historical Shows and Festivals), along with the support from the Ministry of Tourism, and is the only festival in the south of France to own this label.
A festival that has obtained the FFFSH Quality Label commits to the following strict critiria:
- the event must be managed by a Quality Manager, often supported by a team.
- each volunteer actors or technicians must commit to specific requirements stated in a charter to ensure a quality event, all the more so with the presence of a huge audience.
- the event organizers should sollicit their audience to conduct two types of survey: one to know more about its audience and another one to measure both the audience’s satisfaction and dissatisfaction so as to improve its cultural offers and conditions.
- each event must show their logos.
