National Park of Calanques
La Ciotat is the gateway of the National Park of Calanques, Europe’s sole national park that combines the land, the sea and urbanization.
The scenic road – la route de crêtes
This magnificent panoramic road takes you up to Cap Canaille, a 394 meter-high cliff and Europe’s highest maritime cliff.
The island “Ile verte”
This is the only woodland island in the Bouches du Rhone area and is only about 400 meters away from La Ciotat’s bay.
Although La Ciotat is a resort, the surrounding nature is a strong asset for it has enabled the city to preserve its « green lungs ».
